Application ProceduresThank you for your interest in applying for a place at Nexus International School for your child. Follow these simple steps: Step 1 – Make an Application Submit an application to Nexus International School with a completed and signed application form with the documents and items listed below. Additional documents may be required as and when necessary. Please note that we are unable to process any application until all required documentation and the application fee has been received.
Submission of an application does not guarantee a place. As year groups can fill up very quickly, we advise submitting applications as early as possible. Where possible, the School will try and provide a realistic assessment of the chances and possible timing for admission. However, like most international and private schools, the enrolment situation is dynamic and often unpredictable.
You may submit an application in person or courier the documentation to us at : Nexus International School, Putrajaya No.1, Jalan Diplomatik 3/6, Presint 15, 62050
Putrajaya, Malaysia Tel : +603-8889 3868 Step 2 – Assessment Applicants are scheduled for an assessment when there is a possibility of a vacancy and provided the application is complete.
The nature of the assessment varies for different year groups and may require meeting a member of the academic staff. The assessment process is designed to ensure that the placement of all children will best meet their educational and personal requirements. The assessment is also designed to help ascertain whether a child would require specific support.
Please note that the assessment material is private and a property of the School. Parents are not entitled to view or obtain copies prior to or after the child’s assessment. Step 3 – Application Review Assessed applications will be reviewed taking into consideration various factors, including the results of the assessment, school reports, subject options at (I)GCSE, English language ability level, child’s behaviour and availability of places. The School reserves the right to assign priorities for admission or refuse admission for any reason we deem fit. Where places are insufficient, applicants remain on the queue. Step 4 – Offer of Place If the application is successful, an offer of place will be made. An offer of admission to the school is also based on the belief that a child will benefit from the curriculum offered and that his/her admission will support the education of existing students. It is possible a child is accepted on specific conditions.
The acceptance of the offer must be made by paying the applicable fees on or before the stipulated date on the letter of offer. The payment of the required fees constitutes the acceptance of a place and therein confirms the place for the child. Expatriate Applicant Expatriate students must possess valid visas issued by the Malaysian Immigration Department. Admission to, and continued status as a student of the school, is conditional on the student possessing a valid visa as well. Malaysian Applicant Nexus International School will submit to the Ministry of Education a completed Lampiran 1A and relevant documents only when the offer of place is accepted through payment of the applicable fees. Confirmation of placement and admission is subject to a written approval from the Ministry. Step 5 – Admission Placement of the child is at the absolute discretion of the School, taking into consideration various factors, including the child’s gender, nationality, academic ability, level of achievement relative to the School’s current students and child’s behavior. |
