Academic Progress at Nexus

Sep 7, 2016
At Nexus, learning is relevant, engaging and great fun. Our learners develop their personal qualities and attributes as well as making superb academic progress.

Our learners are articulate, confident, collaborative, and resilient can be seen from their everyday relationships and achievements.

We also recognise that academic progress is very important and would like to share some of the recent test results in Maths and English. Year 2 and Year 6 are generally recognised as good markers for Primary learner progress (In the UK these year groups represent the end of Key Stage 1 and 2 respectively). Learners sit for standardised, online assessments from GL assessment. Information about the tests can be found at http://www.gl-assessment.co.uk/.

The assessment scores are compared to schools in the UK and British National Curriculum schools overseas. Please note that Nexus includes the small number of our learners who need a PLA plus those who have English as a Second language, in our average.

This information gives you some idea of the wonderful academic progress our learners are making at Nexus. However, this is only one part of the holistic education that learners get here and whilst celebrating this academic progress, we also recognise the amazing steps that our children are making towards becoming the kind of young people that you can be proud of. The personal goals, as shown in our Nexus Neuron are very important to us.
