Term 2 Week 12

Putrajaya Challenge Park - Rock Climbing
On Saturday me and other boarders from year 10 and below went to Putrajaya Challenge Park to rock climb. On arrival we met the staff and we did some warm up exercises before being introduced to two climbing walls, one small wall for the beginners and the other for the  mastered climbers. I went to the beginner one because this is my first time doing rock climbing. So I tried it for the first time and I managed to reach halfway but I lost my balance and I fell down. I didn’t give up however and I tried it again and I finally managed to climb up, but what shocked me was when I was about to walk down the ‘stairs’ there were actually some holes so I had to climb down too.

After trying the rock climbing we were led to the archery range and everybody had five arrows each to shoot at the target. I hit the target once and I was so proud. Carter, Takuto, Xin Hui, Mr Alex and Mr Troy were the best, hitting the target with all five arrows! There was another target range with bottles on a stand and we had to try and knock them over using stones and a slingshot.

We headed back to rock climbing but this time we were using the harness and ropes. There were four different walls, blue, orange, grey, and red, Since blue was the easiest I tried this first and I managed to climb halfway up. Everybody attempted at least one climb and it was awesome seeing Sally not give in on her climb. Her palms were sweaty but she still kept trying. I realized that the aim of this activity is that it didn’t matter if you like it or not but at least you’ve tried your best and after all it was an amazing activity and I hope that we can do it again.

Floor Three Outing
It was a relaxing Thursday night, as the floor three boys went out for their casual floor trip to Alamanda to catch a movie and have dinner.

We were all eager to watch the highly reviewed "Life" which depicts the danger of extraterrestrial life. It was suspenseful enough, and it was also the first time I saw our big man, Haziq jump in his seat as the movie continued thrilling us.

After the movie, we then planned to have our dinner at the ever so classy McDonald's. Unfortunately with Big Mac’s being highly in demand as it usually is, we had to forgo our fancy dinner.
In smaller groups this time, we wandered around Alamanda looking for restaurants which would accommodate beastly-looking and starving 'hombres'. Collectively, we truly had a diverse meal ranging from Portuguese style grilled chicken, to sushi to Hainanese chicken rice.

We then found our way home with our stomachs content.

School Prom
A huge number of our Year 10 - 12 boarders attended the annual School Prom. All were extremely anxious and nervous about the big event, but it proved to be an enjoyable and lively evening for all. Well done to some of the Year 12 boarders Sara, Zhuo Le and Raziq who along with the school student council were responsible for organising such a successful occasion.
