Apple Distinguished School

Nexus has been recognised as an Apple Distinguished School since 2015. The Apple Distinguished School designation is reserved for programs that meet criteria for innovation, leadership and educational excellence, and demonstrate Apple’s vision of exemplary learning environments.

Council of International Schools

Nexus International School Malaysia has been accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) since 2010, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of international education. As part of a global network of over 1500 schools and universities, CIS accreditation recognises our dedication to continuous improvement, professional excellence and the development of socially responsible global citizens.

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE

Nexus was authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in March 2012, following a thorough evaluation of our resources, staffing, planning and policies, reflecting our readiness to deliver this rigorous qualification. Since then, Nexus has ranked among the top 2% of IB schools globally and top 50 in Asia with learners regularly achieving perfect scores (45 points).

Cambridge Assessment International Education

Part of the University of Cambridge, Cambridge Assessment International Education (CIE) is a provider of international qualifications including IGCSE and A-Levels, offering examinations and qualifications to 10,000 schools in more than 160 countries. Nexus has been accredited as a CIE examination centre since 2009.

Pearson Edexcel Examination Board

A world leading examination body, Pearson Edexcel IGSCE qualifications combine a progressive approach with international content, allowing learners to achieve their full potential in today’s global economy. Nexus is accredited Pearson Edexcel examination centre.

Assessment and Qualifications Alliance

Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) is a respected independent educational charity in the UK, responsible for setting and marking more than half of all GCSE and A-level exams taken each year across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Nexus is accredited AQA examination centre.

INTERNATIONAL PRIMARY CURRICULUM

The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is a globally recognised framework for learners aged 5 to 11, designed to develop academic, personal and international-mindedness skills. Nexus is proud to be an IPC-accredited school, reflecting our commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and continuous improvement in preparing learners for a global future.

Australian Boarding Schools Association

Nexus is part of the Australian Boarding Schools Association (ASBA), a national body supporting boarding schools and residences across Australia and internationally. 5-Star Award

Nexus has been awarded the prestigious 5 Star Quality Standards Award for Private Education Institutions by the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE). This reaffirms our place as one of the top schools in Malaysia. This award is based on school performance; which is assessed using 15 criterias such as curriculum, teaching and learning, teacher development, health services and discipline.

Top IBDP School

Nexus is extremely proud to be ranked as one of the Top 2% Global IB Schools in the World and Top 50 in Asia according to Education Advisers Ltd cementing its position as the Top IBDP School in Malaysia. Wellbeing Award for Schools (WAS)

Developed by Optimus Education in the UK, the Wellbeing Award for Schools (WAS) achieved by over 1,000 schools worldwide formally recognises that Nexus meets the highest standards in emotional wellbeing and mental health. The International School Awards by ISC Research acknowledges innovative practices that support the needs of a changing world. Nexus was recognised as a recipient of the 2025 International School Awards for our Global Goals Day initiative. The College Board is a mission-driven not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunity. Nexus is an official member of College Board, which entitles our learners to have access to SAT prep, and SAT examinations, for entry into USA Universities.

Nexus is a proud member of AIMS, a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing international education in Malaysia by supporting and connecting over 40 member schools.

Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA)
