Shaping futures, sparking passions

Middle
School

Our Middle School at Nexus International School Malaysia supports learners aged 11 to 13 (Years 7 to 9) with a curriculum designed to ensure a smooth transition from Primary to Secondary education. Developed to bridge the gap between the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and IGCSE, this programme provides continuity, academic progression and a strong foundation for future success.

Overview

Our learning
approach

Building on the strong educational foundations developed in our Primary School, the Nexus Middle School curriculum offers a more specialised learning programme rooted in subject disciplines, challenging learners to think critically, work independently and make meaningful connections across subjects.

With a strong emphasis on real-world application, learners are encouraged to explore ideas beyond the classroom and develop skills essential for success in both the IGCSE and the wider world. This approach ensures a dynamic and engaging international secondary education experience that supports intellectual growth and personal development.

year 7 to year 9

Aged 11 - 13

As learners progress through Years 7 to 9, they develop into self-motivated, inquisitive individuals who are confident in embracing new challenges. This important stage lays the groundwork for success in the IGCSE and later the rigour of our IB Programmes, fostering independence, critical thinking and a global perspective.

Alongside core academic subjects students enjoy a rich and diverse curriculum that includes music, language learning, weekly swimming, competitive sports and a wide range of extracurricular clubs and activities that support both personal growth and well-rounded development.
