Wider Learning
Digital Learning
We prepare learners from Primary through Secondary to thrive in a digital world. From early projects that build coding, design and storytelling skills to advanced experiences with AI, big data and app development, our future-focused approach ensures learners confidently use technology as a tool for learning, creativity and real-world problem-solving.
Digital Literacy
for Primary
In Primary at Nexus International School Malaysia, we’ve integrated Project-Based Learning (PBL) with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) to create an engaging and innovative Digital Literacy experience. Learners apply digital tools and thinking to meaningful projects, helping them:
- Develop real-world digital skills such as coding, CAD and multimedia design.
- Cultivate a creator mindset by designing solutions, telling digital stories and building 3D models.
- Strengthen collaboration, communication and critical thinking.
In Primary, while age restrictions limit direct use of AI tools, learners build essential awareness through discussions on digital citizenship, online safety, influencers and deepfakes, laying a strong foundation for understanding technology’s impact on society.
These experiences not only make learning more engaging but also prepare learners for future pathways like IGCSE and IB subjects in Computer Science.
Digital Literacy
for Secondary
At Nexus, Secondary learners gain practical experience with essential modern technologies, from computational thinking and app development to AI, big data, digital marketing and computer-aided design. We’re proud to be the first international school in Malaysia accredited as an ICDL Asia Test Centre, enabling our Year 10 learners to earn globally recognised micro-credential certifications in vital digital skills such as digital marketing, data analytics and financial spreadsheets.
Older learners in Secondary engage with AI in more hands-on, meaningful ways. They use Large Language Models like ChatGPT and Gemini to support academic research and citations, apply AI tools for coding and creative projects and prepare learners for advanced use in IB coursework and extended projects.
