Reconnecting to the
Natural World
Kuala Lumpur's First Accredited Forest School
Nexus Forest School sets a new benchmark as the first International School in Kuala Lumpur to offer Forest School Sessions led by teachers accredited by the UK’s Forest School Learning Initiative (FSLI). All teachers who conduct the Forest School Programme have undergone training sessions and are equipped with the knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure our forest school sessions are engaging and safe.
A Rainforest Within
the School
Nexus Forest School is nestled within our Nexus International School Malaysia campus and therefore conveniently accessible by our community. Primary learners from Early Years to Year 6 have the opportunity to experience Forest School with 10 sessions each year.
Our meticulously designed Forest School Sessions go beyond traditional education, encouraging learners to take the lead in their own learning journey. With nature as their extraordinary classroom, young learners at Nexus Forest School develop a profound connection with the natural world, cultivating an ecological mindset and a deep appreciation for ethical and sustainable living.
More than just a
Walk in the Forest
Nexus Forest School offers a distinctive programme that goes beyond forest walks or playful encounters with muddy waters, utilising the outdoor classroom to build Relevant, Responsible and Resilient children. Through hands-on challenges like shelter building and ecological observation, we sharpen critical thinking and problem-solving (Relevant), foster a deep stewardship of the environment (Responsible) and cultivate the self-confidence and emotional strength needed to thrive through adversity (Resilient). We don’t just teach—we unlock potential.
