Supporting Learners for International School Success

Nexus Academic English Pathway (AEP)

Empowering Your Child through English Learning

Nexus International School Malaysia offers English as an Additional Language (EAL) support within the mainstream curriculum, helping learners strengthen their English while progressing in their regular classes.

For learners who require more intensive language preparation, Nexus offers our Academic English Pathway (AEP) for learners aged 11 to 15 years. The programme helps learners develop strong English proficiency and academic readiness, empowering them to participate confidently in an international education environment.

Learning Experience

AEP Programme

Designed for learners who are developing their academic English, the AEP programme equips learners with the language skills, confidence and readiness required to thrive in international schooling and beyond.

Through targeted language support over an intensive one year programme, learners strengthen essential English skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking alongside the opportunity to immerse themselves in an inquiry-based curriculum that includes Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Physical Education which enables them to participate, engage and progress across all subject areas.

AEP  support is integrated into the wider learning experience at Nexus, helping learners develop their English while continuing to access the curriculum and participate in the school community.

Alongside academic support, learners have opportunities to take part in Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs), allowing them to develop new skills, interests and passions while building confidence and connections within the Nexus community.
