Christmas Dinner a Cracker!

Wednesday, December 19, 2018
Last Thursday, our Boarders’ Christmas Dinner was a tremendous success. The evening kicked-off with Christmas song performances from each floor, followed by our annual awards presentation where the Tidiest Room, Best Manners and Most Dedicated to Prep awards, among others were presented.

The entire common room erupted with joy after Year 13 boarder Khoo was announced as Boarding Champion for his contribution, commitment and positive attitude this term.

We all then celebrated our Christmas Dinner in style with a stupendous traditional meal of roast turkey, lamb, salmon and all the trimmings including a huge cheese board and dessert.

To conclude the fabulous evening, Santa paid us a visit to hand out Secret Santa gifts to finish off an evening of fun and laughter.

Floor Outings

On Monday, Hampshire and Griffiths Floors went to K Fry to enjoy a scrumptious meal of Korean cuisine as part of our end of term Floor Outings. Martin Floor visited Jumpstreet KL, Malaysia’s first indoor trampoline park while Schubert Floor decided to watch ‘Ralph breaks the Internet’ at IOI cinema. Floor outings are designed to develop floor spirit as well as a time to celebrate the end of each term with each other.

Wet n Wild time at Bangi Wonderland

For our last activity of the term, boarders piled into two minivans to make the short trip to Bangi Wonderland. It seemed like half of Selangor state were enjoying the Saturday sunshine as the Park was packed full of families. Nevertheless, our children were patient when queuing up for their turn on the Magic Funnel, Water Cannon and Sprilax among others.

In the evening, boarders were able to order in Dominos or McDonalds as an end of term treat. On Sunday night, Ms Bobby, Cecilie & Fatimah baked some Christmas Tree shortbreads which were devoured by most with ice-cream!

‘Love in a Box’ puts smiles on faces for everybody

A huge amount of consideration was put into providing ‘Love in a Box’ gifts for the children of Rumah Keluarga Kami. Boarders were paired up and were given the responsibility of purchasing a WOW gift along with other less expensive items to fill the ‘Box’. Our younger boarders, along with Ms Bobby and Ms Sarah made a surprise visit and delivered the gifts to the children last week.
