Last weekend some boarders visited the Mines Shopping Mall for a Sightseeing Cruise on the Mines Lake. Over one hundred years ago a Chinese immigrant Chan Wing discovered tin ore in a site abandoned by Europeans. This became the largest open cast tin mine in the world. Last weekend the boarders visited Icescape Ice Rink at IOI City Mall to have a go at iceskating. There were some tumbles and falls initially by a few however, after a while everybody become more confident on the surface skating at speed and with such grace!
Go Karting

A large amount of boarders visited KartX in Subang to participate in Go-Kart racing last weekend. All drivers had an opportunity to have a practice drive prior to the qualifying stages which gave them confidence and an in-sight on the 'short-cuts' and strategies of how to drive the fastest on the track.

The main talking point around boarding this week has been about the 'Casino Royale' Prom which was held at the Grand Millenium Hotel in KLCC on Saturday evening. Those representatives from the Student Council spent all afternoon preparing the function room with props and decorations. Following another Public Holiday the boarders were excited about participating in the Secondary Athletics Day which was held in hot, sticky and towards the end of the day damp conditions. Our boarders hauled in a total of sixty four medals throughout the day.

Most boarders left last Friday afternoon for a long weekend due to the Thaipusam Public Holiday. A handful of boys who were representing the school U15 basketball side did however stay overnight as they were playing three matches on Saturday. The team which included Dickson, Dening, Wei-Young and Terence played extremely well.
