The boarding house stayed open over the long weekend and the first weekend activity of the year was FootGolf, a game played similarly to golf in which players are required to kick a football into a large cup located on a golf green. As always, the first weekend of the academic year in Boarding enables all boarders to participate in Wacky Sunday, an afternoon of team building exercises and fun games, which was well organised by houseparents.
Year 12 Boarders Need for Speed

Last Saturday, this terms IB Boarders activity of choice was Go-karting at Shah Alam with Ms Caoimhe and Mr Ariff. With our Year 13’s having already departed, it was only our Year 12’s who were to spend the afternoon together.
Community Outreach Program – FunGates Superflow Soup Kitchen

As part of our Community Outreach Program, we had the opportunity to volunteer at the FunGates Superflow Soup Kitchen in Jinjang Utara last Saturday.
Hari Raya Celebration

Some of our boarders organised a presentation about Hari Raya as well as enlightening us with a dance performance on Wednesday evening. They also prepared some local delicacies for us all to try before we all shared a scrumptious Malaysian themed dinner together.

On Monday evening our Boarder’s Graduation Dinner was held as we acknowledged our Year 13’s who were spending their last few days with us all.
Rubbish Collection a worthwhile project on Sunday morning

As part of Boarding’s Community Outreach Program, a mixture of boarders went litter picking around the local community. Almost 10 kilograms of rubbish was collected from the streets, paths, walkways and park areas as we all aim to contribute to look after our local community.

We welcomed Jackie, Liz and Delta from China and Konomi from Japan at the beginning of the week and they have already made many new friends.
This term we will continue with a variety of wellbeing strategies and activities that our boarders can participate in, while our Weekend Activity schedule looks busy and exciting.
Fish, Food & Fun at Crab Island Day

Over thirty boarders along with Mr Dan and Ms Sarah went to Pulau Ketam also known as Crab Island, which is an island located of the coast of Port Klang.
