Rubbish Collection a worthwhile project on Sunday morning

As part of Boarding’s Community Outreach Program, a mixture of boarders went litter picking around the local community. Almost 10 kilograms of rubbish was collected from the streets, paths, walkways and park areas as we all aim to contribute to look after our local community.

We welcomed Jackie, Liz and Delta from China and Konomi from Japan at the beginning of the week and they have already made many new friends.
This term we will continue with a variety of wellbeing strategies and activities that our boarders can participate in, while our Weekend Activity schedule looks busy and exciting.
Fish, Food & Fun at Crab Island Day

Over thirty boarders along with Mr Dan and Ms Sarah went to Pulau Ketam also known as Crab Island, which is an island located of the coast of Port Klang. Travelling by ferry to the island, there were some stops on the way at some fish farms which contained many different fish, large and small.

Last Saturday afternoon Mr Troy and Ms Bobby took us boarders to the EnerZ Extreme Park in Subang Jaya. As soon as we set our feet in the Extreme Park, excitement flooded through our veins. We were all assigned to a coach who made sure that we warmed up before continuing with the fun activities.

On Saturday afternoon over twenty boarders visited Kota Melawati and the Firefly Park in Kuala Selangor. On arrival there were many silver leaf monkeys and there were babies sitting on the roof waiting for us to feed them. The monkeys were very naughty but friendly at the same time. They grabbed many bananas and nuts from us although we were scared and terrified.

Last weekend, the Year 6-10 boarders visited Ms Toni’s house to learn how to make Italian finger foods. They were all very successful in following instructions and the results were very delicious.

Many of our boarders were required to wake up relatively early for a Saturday morning as they ventured out with Mr Ariff and Mr David H to spend most of the day on a Hook N’ Release Fishing Expedition in Sepang, which was organised by Trapeze Learning Lab.

Last Saturday our boarders paid a visit to the annual Kuala Lumpur Highland Games which coincided with a rugby tournament which featured over thirty teams in the Under 8 to Veteran Men’s grade at Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club.
