Nexus learners are encouraged to develop their creative talents and ability to express themselves through the arts. We give time in and outside the classroom for learners to explore new ideas, find their passions and share their feelings through music, art, drama and film.
An education in the Arts not only enhances learners’ understanding of the world around them, but it also broadens their perspective on traditional subjects. Learners are encouraged to participate in the numerous events and performances held every year to develop their talents and confidence.
We have invested in developing a well equipped and well resourced Performing Arts Department. It includes, a bespoke fully-equipped Theatre, three specialist Music classrooms (with class sets of guitars, samba instruments, keyboards, drums etc.), a Drama Studio (Black Box), a Recording Studio, a Film/Media classroom with cinema and green screen, seven instrumental teaching rooms, a Multimedia Editing Suite and a huge Dance Studio with full length wall mirrors.
