Secondary Overview

At Nexus International School Malaysia, the Secondary Department retains the same philosophy practiced in the Primary Years. However, the learning programme becomes slightly more specialised based on subject disciplines, while developing greater independence of thought, identity and value systems. Technology continues to be integrated into all facets of learning at the Secondary Level. The Secondary School make provisions for learners from Years 7-9 (the Middle School Programme), Years 10-11 (IGCSE) and Years 12-13 (the IB Diploma Programme).

The Secondary Curriculum in an international school setting is designed to challenge learners to think independently and apply knowledge to real-life situations through the range of subjects offered. As children progress through Years 7 to 9, they become self-motivated and enquiring learners, ready to take on the challenges of the IGCSE examination courses and subsequently, the IB Diploma.

Based on our belief that learners need both breadth and depth in their educational experience to thrive in the world, Nexus gives ample opportunity to explore their interests through our broad and balanced programme of study.

Our extensive Secondary Curriculum is taught by highly qualified specialists  who demonstrate adaptability to suit the ever-advancing digital age. We have top-notch facilities catered for teachers and students alike, whether it is for arts, sciences, sports, or modern languages.
