IWD 2020 Assembly @ Nexus

The Secondary learners at Nexus attended an assembly to celebrate and understand better about International Women's Day. The assembly focused on spreading awareness of this year's theme #EachForEqual, which highlights the necessity for every person to take responsibility for their own role in promoting equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of gender. One of the highlights of the assembly was the performance by IB learner Alia Shahrin of the song 'Speechless', beautifully accompanied by Lisa Limiaty. Finally, the learners hear from our guest speaker Nik Tasha Nik Kamaruddin, Director at Ipsos Malaysia who shared useful insights on the current research into gender equality carried out in Malaysia. The positive atmosphere of the event was evidence of the learner's engagement with the theme and support for the important issues it highlights.
