Year 5 Entry Point

For their new IPC topic called Building a Village, the Year 5 learners participated in a team challenge as their entry point. A topic about what makes a good place to live, they explored various amenities, mapped the origins of settlements and built design and technology. Entry points are all about keeping learners excited about learning ahead. Therefore, we challenged our learners to come up with creative ways to shelter one person’s head from the water. With limited time and natural materials, they had to be adaptable to succeed. All in all, it was a fun day for everyone. We even enjoyed testing one shelter out on Mr Dave!
