Nexus Alumni: Aaliyah Yoong

Oct 10, 2023
In the spirit of our 15th anniversary, we're delighted to acknowledge the exceptional Nexus alumni who have carried the Nexus name to loftier achievements!

In the Aaliyah Yoong is an exceptional athlete with numerous medals under her belt, both on the national and international level! As a water skier, Aaliyah has created history many times by representing Malaysia in numerous global events, including the 2022 World Games and Under-21 World Championships 2023. Her historic bronze win in the 2022 World Games made her the first Asian women’s skier to score at the world level!

Aaliyah, who is currently pursuing her degree in psychology in Florida, is exceptional at balancing her studies and her career, and she credits that skill to her time here at Nexus.

Responsibility, relevance, and resilience define the academic journey of the Nexus Alumni, and we take immense pride in their achievements. We are honoured to have been part of Aaliyah’s remarkable journey, and we’re sure she still has greater heights to soar to!
