Back to the Classroom on a Saturday afternoon

Thursday, July 12, 2018
The boarders travelled into KLCC to visit the Petrosains Discovery Centre where most had fun participating in Science activities and experiments. There were many exhibits that the children were familiar with as there were aspects from Science and Global Perspective lessons. Other popular exhibits included Geotime Diorama which took everybody back over 200 million years into the ancient world and Speed which is built for the ardent Formula 1 fan. Some attempted to manoeuvre around Sepang in an F1 simulator and testing their reaction time on the Batak Pro exhibit.

On Saturday evening Mr Troy and Ms Bobby arranged for the Popcorn Machine and Chocolate Fondue to be available which enticed almost the whole house into the kitchen. The entertaining board game Pie Face was then bought out which had Carter, Miles and Wenhao battling out for the winners title…….despite the whipped cream creating some mess!

PAR 14 Running Event
Boarders Celine, Liann, Max, Jun and Zen Mae featured with many other learners and staff for the Nexus Running Club who participated in the PAR 14 Group Running Event at Padang Merbok recently. Teams of five are required to run 3 kilometres each relay style, passing over a baton at the completion of their run.

It was great to see so many from the Nexus community involved.
