BREAKING OUT IN KLCC
This weekend Mr Dan and Ms Sarah took our boarders into KLCC for a fun few hours in the ‘Break Out Rooms’ and also for some retail therapy at the nearby shopping mall.
The Breakout rooms each offer a different storyline allowing students to take on the role of different influential characters in each game, whilst trying to solve the mystery and escape within the 45 minute time frame; each room has a different level of difficulty.
Boarders were put into teams and each accessed a different break out room, the four different rooms were; Cerebrum, Chamber of Hocus, Project Fallout and The Greatest Murder of Westwood.
Whilst remaining in character they had to work as a team, remember their time management and draw upon different skills to come up with a strategy in order to figure out the puzzles and try to escape in time.
It was the girls team who ‘broke out’ of the room first and took home the mystery prizes; completing the task with just seconds to spare! The other teams shortly followed, all exasperated that they had not solved the puzzles on time and discussed for some while after how they could have broken out had they just had more time.
In the shopping mall, learners were given a couple of hours to do some shopping or to get a bite to eat, which was a good opportunity for them to spend some time with their friends and chill out after a brain frazzling morning.

INDOOR FOOTBALL COMPETITION
As usual the first house competition of the year is Indoor Football and we have four teams entered to compete for the coveted trophy. Rules have changed slightly this time around with all teams required to have at least one female boarder on the court for the full duration of the match.
Not only was it great to see the teams battling it out, but also the amount of spectators cheering their peers on.

EARLY MORNING SWIM & RUN CLUB
Many of our boarders are already showing splendid dedication and commitment to early morning swim or run clubs. They must ensure that they are well organised before and after training, making sure that their rooms are clean and tidy, as well as having enough time to enjoy breakfast before heading to school.

UNBIRTHDAY
A delicious chocolate cake was enjoyed by house staff and those boarders who had their birthday in the month of August for our new Unbirthday celebration.
This guarantees that even those who have their actual birthday over any holiday period can still celebrate with their peers.
