He holds a B.A. (Hons) in the field of Geography with a second major in History and is currently en route to receiving a M.Ed. in Secondary Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Montana. He spent 4 years as an educator in Tashkent, Uzbekistan before returning to the United States to continue working in the field of education while concurrently advancing toward his M.Ed. Brian is passionate about the fields of history and geography and his enthusiasm to experience foreign cultures first-hand, has inspired him to travel to 85 countries across 6 continents. He firmly believes that, in an increasingly globalised world, constructing a comprehensive understanding of people and places, as well as developing an appreciation for other cultures and global perspectives is invaluable for our learners. This worldly outlook is a paramount component of Brian’s overall teaching philosophy. When Brian isn’t teaching he enjoys traveling, writing, travel photography, and experimenting with cooking international cuisine.
