Originally from Ireland, Jennifer started her teaching career almost 25 years ago in the UK, where she taught secondary drama up to A-level. After a year off to travel, she moved to Malaysia and taught young learners ESL and Speech & Drama for two years. Moving back to Ireland, Jennifer started teaching English as a Foreign language, and this continued for almost 9 years. During that time, gained her post-graduate diploma (DELTA) in English language teaching, and worked as a teacher trainer and Director of Studies for a language school in Dublin.
Jennifer returned to secondary teaching in 2017, when she moved to the UAE, teaching English in a government school for two years.
After completing a teacher training contract in Kazakhstan at the end of 2019, Jennifer taught and delivered training in person and online to learners and teachers from all over the world. In June 2022, she gained her accreditation from the University of Cambridge to be a CELTA Course Tutor. She trained teachers in Ireland and Bangkok, Thailand with a 100% pass rate.
Jennifer is delighted to be joining the highly experienced teaching staff at Nexus, and is excited about living in Malaysia for the second time.
