As a former ESL learner who moved to the U.S. from Poland at the end of primary school, I understand the challenges EAL students face firsthand - but also the incredible growth and opportunities that come with learning a new language. I believe that speaking English as a second language is not a limitation but a valuable skill, and that mastering it can be both empowering and enjoyable.

I've been teaching English for about 20 years in countries including Poland, the UK, China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. I taught mostly Secondary learners and Adults, and for some time, specialised in IELTS preparation and examining, gaining deep insight into academic English and learner progress. Since joining Nexus, I’ve been teaching Middle School, IGCSE, and IB classes, mainly focusing on EAL, English B, as well as English, and Humanities classes.

In the classroom, I aim to build students’ confidence and help them take ownership of their learning. I enjoy using collaborative projects, low-stakes challenges, and interactive activities to keep lessons engaging and supportive. At Nexus, I look forward to continuing to create a space where students feel empowered to grow, both linguistically and personally.
