On the weekend we attended the Bubble Sports Futsal pitches for a game of some quite unique football. Fourteen boarders donned sports kit, braved the heat and played a game of zorbing football. None of the boarders really knew what they were getting themselves into until they arrived where they found ten giant inflatable balls laid out in front of them.

Ms Bobby and Mr Saiful travelled with the boarders to KLCC last weekend where some boarders visited Menara Kuala Lumpur as they took in breathtaking views of the metropolis of Malaysia. Standing aloft the tower at a height of 276 meters above ground level the views were truly outstanding.

Year 13 Leavers Dinner
On Wednesday evening we held our Year 13 Leavers Dinner in the boarding house. We were treated to a fantastic meal, the menu chosen by the leavers as well as some fine farewell words by Ryan and Nishi who responded to humorous speeches by Raziq, Faris, Rachel and Sue Yen.

It was a relatively quiet week with almost half of the boarding house off-site attending their respective year group residential trips. Those who were in-house enjoyed playing basketball, reading and revising in the library or swimming after prep in the evenings.

Our most recent weekend activity has been to 1Utama Mall where the boarders tried their hand at softball in the batting cages. On the roof of the mall were seven cages, all with an automatic ball shooter. The boarders selected the speed and the height of balls being pitched towards them with the aim of hitting the ball back into the cage.

We visited Taman Tasik Titiwangsa on Saturday to Water Orb inside inflatable balls as well as cycle around the extremely busy and picturesque park. Most of the boarders chose to water orb together and to 'walk on water' together required good coordination and teamwork. Some more than others found the task relatively easy.

Due to Labour Weekend the boarders had a few days away from the boarding house. We did however host the Stingray Swimming Club who based themselves at Nexus for a two day swim camp for forty members.
Our Year 13 boarders arrived on Sunday evening in preparation for their long awaited first IB Diploma examination the following day.

Week 3
Last weekend the boarders, Ms Hayley and Ms Bobby ventured out to Zoo Negara. Although they braved torrential rain and thunder they all managed to see a variety of remarkable animals including lions, tapirs, giraffes and even a rather terrifying tarantula at the insect house.

Last weekend twenty five boarders and staff visited Sunway Lagoon prepared for an action-packed day. For us who were visiting for the first time, on entering Sunway it seemed as though we were all in a completely different world, in a unique and isolated village of its own...
