Plenty of new & familiar faces arrive for start of school year

Following the successful IB Residential Weekend in the Boarding House, all boarders were welcomed back for the beginning of the academic year. We had twenty one new boarders join us, who were assigned their ‘buddies’ and throughout the week we were all impressed on how quickly they were adjusting to boarding life.

Challenge Week Success

The boarders travelled into KLCC to visit the Petrosains Discovery Centre where most had fun participating in Science activities and experiments. There were many exhibits that the children were familiar with as there were aspects from Science and Global Perspective lessons.

Last Monday evening we all gathered inside the main common room to celebrate a farewell dinner for primarily our Year 13 boarders, but also for the Year 11 learners who will be leaving Nexus following the completion of the exams.
Spectacular Day at Genting Highlands

We departed boarding relatively early ready for a whole house boarding trip up to the Genting Highlands. When we arrived, we took the Awana Skyway up to first stop ‘Chin Swee Station’ and explored the Chin Swee Caves Temple and other interesting statues.
